Junior Blitz tournament rules

Date

You can check it in the schedule that you will find in this website. The celebration of this tournament is subject to a minimum number of 50 players.

Time

Games will start at 9:30 a.m.

System of play

Swiss system with a maximum of 7 rounds (indicative) based on registered players. The pairings will be made by the “Swiss Manager” software, being the referee team responsible for those pairings.

Time control

5 minutes + 3 seconds per move.

Groups of play

Four competition groups will be established (U-16, U-12, U-10 and U-8). The Organization reserves the right to change the game groups prior to the start of the tournament if there are not enough players in any of these groups (25 minimum in each group).

ELO FIDE of blitz chess will be taken into account; in case that any player does not have blitz chess ELO FIDE, he will be assigned the slow rhythm ELO FIDE.

All players must have a valid FIDE license, since the tournament will be evaluated for blitz chess ELO FIDE.

Registration:

The registration fee for the tournament must be paid, at most, at 9:00 a.m. of the day of the tournament. In case of not having paid the registration fee at that time, the player will not be able to take part in the tournament.

Both the game room and the lists of registered players will be published at 9:00 a.m. of the day of the tournament, both at the hotel reception and at the Vento restaurant. The players should contact the Organization in case there are eventually some errors in those lists until no later than 9:15 a.m. of the day of the event.
